Tales of Sheckley
Suddenly, Sheckley burst through a first floor exit door and rushed headlong into the main cafeteria of the building.  He collided with a balding man in an expensive suit, knocking his tray into his chest and then falling on top of the man, the tray and its contents pinned between them.

The hubbub of the cafeteria, the talking and general noise stopped almost instantly.  Everyone stared at the two fallen men.  Sheckley leapt to his feet and, forgetting his situation, began to apologize to the man he had knocked over.

"I'm so sorry," Sheckley began, but saw immediately the man was not moving.  Blood began to pour out over the floor.  Sheckley pulled the tray away from the man and between the bacon and eggs and pancakes with blueberry syrup that was congealing on the man's ruined suit were several pieces of fine cutlery embedded in the man's chest.

Sheckley's first thought was, They do use sterling silver in the cafeteria!

Sheckley looked up, fearing the worst.  Peterson, his nemesis, had stumbled into the cafeteria and was waving his gun but halted when he saw what had happened.
