         1974         Receives Jupiter Award for Best Short Story of 1973, for "A
                          Supplicant in Space."  Birth of third child, Anya.

         1975         Options is published.

         1976         (through 1979) Lives in London.  Guest Speaker at Institute of
                          Contemporary Arts, 1976.

         1978         Futuropolis (nonfiction) and Crompton Divided are published.  Birth
                          of fourth child, Jed.  Guest Speaker at British Science Fiction
                          Association Convention.

         1979         The Wonderful World of Robert Sheckley is published.  Travels in
                          the Far East.

         1980         Returns to New York City.  Serves as Fiction Editor for Omni
                          until 1982.  Editor of After the Fall (anthology).

         1981         Divorces Abby Schulman.  Marries Jay Rothbell.

         1982         The Robot Who Looked Like Me (collection) is published.  Lives
                          in Florida.

         1983         Dramocles is published.  Appointed Visiting Scholar, Artificial
                          Intelligence Laboratory, MIT.

         1984         Is That What People Do?  (collection) is published.  Lives in
                          Portland, Oregon.  Divorces Jay Rothbell.
